The Human Brain is divided into two cerebral hemispheres called the cerebrum. The surface of each hemisphere is thrown into folds, or gyri. Each hemisphere can be divided into four lobes. There areas are frontal, occipital, temporal, and parietal.
The Cerebellum is a deeply folded structure located behind the brain stem. It is formed by two cerebellar hemispheres and a median vermis. It is connected to the brain stem by paired cerebellar peduncles. Collections of nerve cells in this area are concerned with muscular activities associated with balance and coordination.
